A Commemorative Event with Keynote Speaker General Lloyd James Austin III, (USA-Ret), U.S. Military Academy at West Point - Class of 1975, Thomasville High School - Class of 1971

In 2015, members of the West Point Society of Tallahassee (WPST) noted that the cavalry on Lt. Flipper’s grave was listed incorrectly. Through a collaborative effort between the City of Thomasville and the WPST, the burial marker has been corrected along with grave restoration for Lt. Flipper and his parents. 

Friday, March 17th at 12 Noon – Flipper Cemetery, 805 N. Broad St., Thomasville, GA This event is free and open to the public.
