2009 Archbold Tree of Lights CelebrationThis annual ceremony includes the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the Candles of the Hanukkah Menorah. Seasonal music will be proviced by the Brookwood Lower School Chorus and Thomasville High School Chorale. Refreshments will be served and Santa will be on hand to hear the Christmas wishes of the children. Everyone is invited! Gifts can be made to the Tree of Lights in honor or memory of friends or loved ones and will benefit patients and families served by Hospice of Southwest Georgia. Scrooge, A Christmas Story at Thomasville On Stage & Company (TOSAC) TheaterWritten by Charles Dickens and Adapted and Directed by David Null A Christmas Carol is the classic tale about the old miser, Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge pays his clerk Bob Cratchit only fifteen shillings a week, is rude to his nephew and refuses to take part in the Christmas spirit. Soon, the ghosts of his former business partner (Jacob Marley), Christmas Past, Present and Future all pay visits to Scrooge. They teach him to value Christmas and to be a person overall. After the ghosts leave, Scrooge is a changed man. He even sends a turkey anonymously to Cratchit’s family!
